What is BOSH SO1 Training?
Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) for Safety Officer 1 (SO1) Training is a mandatory safety training course in the Philippines, designed for Safety Officer 1 (SO1) personnel as required under DOLE Department Order No. 198, series of 2018.
This training is intended for workers assigned as Safety Officer 1 in small businesses or low-risk workplaces with fewer than 10 employees.

Who needs BOSH SO1 Training?

Certification and Compliance:
- Conducted by DOLE-accredited Safety Training Organizations (STOs).
- Required for DOLE compliance and workplace OSH certification.
Penalty for Non-Compliance:
Failing to meet the BOSH SO1 Training requirement under DOLE Department Order No. 198 and RA 11058 can lead to legal penalties. Employers must provide this safety training to designated Safety Officers or risk fines of up to PHP 100,000 per day, possible suspension of operations, and legal action. Complying with BOSH SO1 not only avoids penalties but also ensures a safer and healthier work environment
Can I use BOSH SO1 certificate for CPD?
Definitely, yes. There are two ways to earn CPD points, it’s either through a self-directed learning or through a direct CPD points issued by PRC. Either way, you can make use of the points issued by the PRC with 10 hours BOSH SO1 training duration.
