Petrosphere’s Site Visit to Graymont in Rio Tuba, Palawan with Saint Louis University Student Interns

 

On June 3, 2025, Petrosphere Incorporated, together with the student interns from Saint Louis University (SLU), conducted an insightful site visit to Graymont in Rio Tuba, Palawan. The activity aimed to expose the student interns to real-world industrial safety practices and operational procedures in an active industrial environment.

 

The group was warmly welcomed by Mr. Jose Roy Escandor, Safety Officer of Graymont, who facilitated the orientation and site access. His professionalism and commitment to safety allowed the interns to explore various operational areas while observing and learning about the facility’s machinery, equipment, and safety protocols. Mr. Escandor’s trust in the interns’ discipline and eagerness to learn made it possible for them to gain hands-on exposure — an invaluable experience in their academic and professional journey.

The visit was also graced by Mr. Ryan Noel D. Leopoldo, Plant Manager of Graymont, who shared his insights on plant operations, sustainability initiatives, and the company’s dedication to environmental protection and occupational safety. His presence and engagement provided the students with a broader understanding of how leadership and safety management work hand in hand in maintaining efficient and safe industrial operations.
