While many celebrated Valentine’s Day with flowers and festivities, Petrosphere Incorporated marked the occasion with something far more lasting, planting life along the shores of Puerto Princesa.

On Valentine’s Day, Petrosphere Incorporated participated in Love Affair with Nature 2026, the City’s annual eco-Valentine’s celebration that combines romance with environmental stewardship. As the sun rose over Paglaum 3, Petrosphere team members joined local government units, civic organizations, and community volunteers in a shared commitment to restore and protect coastal ecosystems.
Armed with mangrove propagules and guided by environmental advocates, Petrosphere worked hand in hand with fellow participants to plant seedlings along vulnerable shoreline areas. Each mangrove planted represented more than environmental action—it symbolized responsibility, prevention, and long-term sustainability, values deeply embedded in Petrosphere’s organizational culture.
Love Affair with Nature, established in 2003 and institutionalized under City Ordinance No. 287 of 2005, is one of Puerto Princesa’s most meaningful environmental traditions. The festival highlights the vital role of mangroves as natural defenses against typhoons and flooding, nurseries for marine biodiversity, and sources of livelihood for coastal communities. To date, approximately 800,000 mangroves have been planted across the city’s shorelines, achieving an impressive 87% survival rate.

For Petrosphere, participation in this initiative aligns seamlessly with its mission as a safety and sustainability-driven organization. Just as the company advocates for workplace hazard prevention and risk management, it also recognizes the importance of environmental protection as a proactive measure to safeguard communities.
Through this engagement, Petrosphere reaffirms its commitment to corporate social responsibility, environmental stewardship, and community partnership. The Company’s involvement reflects the company’s broader goal of contributing to safer workplaces and healthier ecosystems, both essential to building resilient communities.
Because at Petrosphere, safety does not stop at the workplace; it extends to the environment that sustains us all.
