Disaster Risk Reduction and Management
It is the systematic process of using administrative directives, organizations, and operational skills
and capacities to implement strategies, policies, and improved coping capacities in order to lessen the
adverse impacts of hazards and the possibility of disaster.
Disaster Management
A range of activities that contribute to increasing capacities and reducing immediate and long-
term vulnerabilities to prevent or at least minimize damaging impact in a community. The activities of the
disaster management are as follows:
