MANUFACTURING INSPECTION

Product inspection usually includes one or more of the following general methods:
• visual inspection
• dimensional inspection
• hardness testing
• functional testing

• non-destructive testing (NDT)
• chemical-metallurgical testing

RECORDS
Records should be kept of the manufacturing
operations, including incoming materials, assemblies or
processes, and final inspection results.

CALIBRATION OF MEASURING EQUIPMENT
Measuring and process control equipment and
instruments used to ensure that manufactured products and
processes conform to specify requirements must be
calibrated periodically.
