Types of Planned Inspection
1. Technical Safety Inspection
This shall refer to inspection for the purpose of
safety determination of boilers, pressure vessels,
internal combustion engines, electrical installations,
elevators, hoisting equipment, and other mechanical
equipment. The Technical Report Card should focus on
the following:
What parts should be inspected?
What does the inspector look for?
What about inspection frequency?
Who will do the inspection
How does the supervisor manage the system?
2. General Safety Inspection
This shall refer to inspection of the work environment, including the location and
operation of machinery other than those covered by technical safety inspections. It includes
adequacy of work space, ventilation, lighting, conditions of work environment, handling, storage
or work procedures, protection facilities, and other safety and health hazards in the workplace.
