Concept of Safety and Environmental Health
Environmental Health is a field that is concerned with all the aspects of
the natural and built environments that affect individual and population
health. Occupational safety, a subfield Environmental Health,
specifically deals with workplace health and safety and has a strong
focus on the primary prevention of hazards that can cause injuries and
diseases. Safety and Environmental both have the same goal and that
is Accident Prevention. They both have the same key program
elements of:
• recognition
• evaluation and
• control

• Skin Irritants
• Noise
• Extremes of Temperature
• Illumination
• Radiation
