To establish and Audit a PSM Program Management must
begin by:
1. Selecting a program Coordinator
2. Selecting a program Auditor
Requirement in the PSM Program
• A comprehensive system analysis of all operations and production stages from design through
manufacturing, quality assurance and shipping.
• To keep all these functions organized and coordinated, someone must oversee the program,
either alone or with committee assistance.
Program Coordinator
The individual must be able to exert stringent control over all
phase of product development from initial product design through
eventual product sale and distribution.
Responsibilities of a Program Coordinator
A program coordinator must have sufficient authority to take
action and to carry out the following responsibilities:
• conduct and review complaint, incident, or accident analyses
• coordinate appropriate PSM program documentation
• ensure an adequate flow of verbal and written
communications
