               Purposes of Planned Job Observation

                     Pinpoint practices that could cause accidents, injuries, damage, inefficiency and waste.
                     Determine specific needs for coaching and training.

                     Learn more about work habits of your people.
                     Check adequacy of existing job/task methods and procedures.
                     Follow-up on effectiveness of recent training.
                     Give on-the-spot constructive correction.
                     Spotlight specific behaviors for recognition and
                       reinforcement.
